A five days course on the statistical analysis of the dynamics of social networks, and of the co-evolution of networks and actors, in the actor-based framework underlying SIENA models. Laboratory exercises with the implementation of SIENA for the R environment for statistical computing (package RSiena).

Venue
The course is held at the Bertinoro Centre of the University of Bologna. The centre is a facility of the university located in the restored medieval castle on the top of Bertinoro, small town on the hills between Forlì and Cesena, 90 km south of Bologna.
The workshop starts Monday 11th in the morning and ends Friday 15th in the afternoon, so participants may consider planning their travel so to arrive in Bertinoro by the evening of Sunday 10th, and leave not sooner than Friday 15th in the (late) afternoon.

Fee and accommodation
The registration fee is 400 euro. The fee include course (5 days – July 2011, Monday 11th to Friday 15th), coffee breaks (morning and afternoon) and internet access (WiFi and LAN). Participants are expected to bring their own laptop for laboratory practice.
Room accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Rooms are available inside the Bertinoro Centre, with buffet breakfast and self-service lunch included in the room price. This accommodation may be reserved and paid through the same webpage of the course registration.

The number of participants is limited to 30. The typical course day will consist of a morning session (09.30-13:00) and an afternoon session (14:00-17:00) both paused by a coffee break.
